The late John Diamond M.D., a pioneer in the field of holistic healing and Life Energy Analysis, introduced Melissa to using photography as what he called an action meditation: outward action while keeping the stillness within.  

The photographs in this collection are meditative expressions created to deepen Melissa's connection to the world and help her experience ki-in, the rhythm of life energy. She hopes, as a teacher might, that her approach resonates with viewers a life affirming rhythm and a gratitude for the gift of life.
